CRN recognizes Markforged for best 3D printing innovation of 2020
CRN®, the top publication for channel resellers, recognized Markforged’s X7 Turbo Print with the 2020 Tech Innovator Award for best 3D printing innovation of 2020.
As our top-of-the-line industrial-grade 3D printer, the X7 features a unique dual-nozzle print system that lays continuous fibers including carbon fiber, fiberglass, and Kevlar into 3D printed parts for improved mechanical properties. The X7 prints continuous carbon fiber reinforced parts that are as strong as — and capable of replacing — machined aluminum. Whatever a manufacturers’ functional requirements are — whether they need to be flame resistant, chemical resistant, or energy absorbent — the X7 has an industrial material or print mode capable of fabricating the functional part they need.
Turbo Print, released in November 2019, doubles the print speed of the X7 industrial printer without sacrificing its best-in-class surface finish, giving customers the ability to replace parts faster, take on more jobs, and see a rapid return on investment. Manufacturers no longer need to wait for a machined part; they can instead design their part in CAD and have it ready for use more quickly than ever before.
This award validates what’s most important for Markforged — giving customers the most powerful tools to help transform their operations and be better, more efficient manufacturers. As Michael Ott, Head of Production Innovation at Siemens Healthineers in Germany said at the time of the release of Turbo Print, "Twice as fast means twice as productive."

This annual CRN Tech Innovator Award program honors innovative vendors across the IT channel in 49 technology categories, in key areas ranging from cloud to security to storage to networking. In their process, CRN editors assessed hundreds of vendor products along multiple criteria, including uniqueness, key capabilities, technological competency, and addressing customer needs.
