Markforged Global Partner Summit 2019

Markforged’s Global Partner Summit in January brought together over 300 attendees from 31 countries to Austin, Texas. Now in its second year, the Summit aims to inform our partners of everything coming in 2019, as well as to give them a chance to network. It also gives us the opportunity to give out awards to our top partners, and give them the recognition they deserve for all their great work.

This year’s Summit included keynotes from Markforged CEO Greg Mark, Global VP of Sales, Services and Partnerships Darcey Harrison, VP of Global Channel Sales Brian Houle, and CMO Bryan Semple. Attendees also listened to talks on the future of additive manufacturing, how 3D printers solve different problems for businesses, and how they can better partner with customers to uncover new applications.

Several Markforged customers also attended the Summit, and shared how 3D printing fits into many different places in their manufacturing process. Kent Gilson, inventor of 3D printed robot arm Dexter, discussed how he brought the number of parts down from 800 to under 70 with the help of Markforged technology, which greatly improved the robot’s performance. Partners sat down with Kent to ask questions during breaks to find out more information about how 3D printers are disrupting the robotics industry.
