Announcing Markforged Dublin

Today, we are proud to announce our first official European headquarters. Dublin will serve as the base of our European operations to help us better serve the EMEA region. After closing $82 million USD in Series D funding, we are actively working on expanding globally — with the Dublin office being the first of many steps.

Sean McConnell, Senior Technologist at Irish Manufacturing Research, couldn’t be happier about the new office. “It’s absolutely fantastic,” said McConnell, “People in Ireland tend to trust people they know. So having someone local eases any anxiety around looking at a new technology.”

Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD, said “I am delighted that Markforged have chosen Dublin as its new European HQ. We all know the strong potential of 3D printing and I warmly welcome their presence in Ireland and the creation of 100 highly skilled jobs. We already have a strong footprint of high-tech companies in Dublin, and we are very keen to expand that by attracting a wider range of specialist companies such as Markforged.”

We are thankful to IDA Ireland who helped us set up in Dublin. CEO of IDA Ireland, Martin Shanahan, said “The decision by Markforged to locate their European headquarters in Dublin again confirms Ireland’s reputation as the premier location for fast-growing, innovative companies to build and support their future international growth. Stephen Barbuto, Director of Commercial Sales in EMEA, will be leading the team in Ireland. "We’re already seeing all sorts of growth in EMEA," he said. "Now that we have a physical presence, local resources, and local language support, we’re enabling European adoption of affordable 3D printing better than ever before. I can’t wait!”

And what do new employees in the Dublin office have to look forward to? “They have the chance to be part of something special,” said Barbuto.
